After Care

Fit & Stretch

Crown Tajis are made for everyday wear, that involves little to no high stretch or intensive activities. While the Crown Taji can stretch up to double its size, we recommend gentle care to maintain quality.

Washing

To maintain the quality of your Crown, we recommend hand washing your Crown Taijs Designs. If a washer machine is necessary, we recommend using a delicate cycle and cleaning solution. Cool water may prevent color bleeding and help maintain quality, fit and stretch. Heavy and constant machine wash is not recommended.

Drying

Natural air drying is the best method for drying your Crown Tajis. After hand washing your Taji, hang dry and do not wring. If dryer machine is necessary, tumble dry with no heat is recommended. Blow dryers, and high heat dryer machines are never recommended as they may shrink your Crown Taji and weaken it's stitching.

Multi-Color Maintenance

Your multi-colored Crown Taji should be carefully washed and stored to maintain its quality. We recommend storing Multi-Color Crowns untied with the satin-side out to prevent accidental damage. Lighter color fabrics such as; whites, yellows and pinks are prone to color transferring and should be hand washed and air dried.

Color Transferring

Crown Tajis are multi-colored which means color bleeding may occur.

To prevent color transferring, we recommend hand washing your crown before first wear and after each use. This may remove any excess color dye and extend the life of your Crown Taji.

If color bleeding has affected your Crown Tajis, we recommend handwashing the lighter color fabric using a light detergent and bleach solution. Do not Use bleach on dark fabrics like; black, red; green; purple; blue, etc.

Oil & Product Buildup

Crown Tajis are lined with a lightweight silky-satin fabric to protect the hair against breakage, pilling and external elements.

Natural oils from the scalp along with hair care products may cause product buildup that will weigh down your crown.

Wash your Crown Taji designs as needed to remove excess oil and product for a like-new look and feel.

Streaming & Ironing

To keep your Crown Taji in pristine condition, we recommend minimal ironing and steaming. When attempting to iron and steam your Crown, turn your Taij satin-side out and apply an iron cover. It is imperative that you use an iron cover or external piece of cloth or fabric when applying heat. Steaming and ironing your Taji without a cover may melt the satin lining and/or imprint velvet outer layer.
